We will leverage backstage plugins and templates to simplify deployments of apps and services. For example, a backend developer needs to spin up a local web ui. Instead of following complicated readmes they can click a button on backstage dashboard to download a script that automatically deploys it. Or upload deployment scripts of their own with error reporting and feedback options

The lack of database mapping or transparency is usually a common technical debt in most tech companies. Leading to longer development cycles, unnecessarily duplication, naming inconsistency and more. Our plugin will add an additional layer of transparency by showing the databases in use, their entities and connection to existing services. We hope that this plugin can be used not only as a point of reference but also as part of the new service creation process.
